Fordham has suspended in-person classes for the foreseeable future. I am going to use this blog space to post assignments for students (also, I’ll send info via email and hopefully blackboard). First up is NMDD 1001. We have quite a bit of reading on the schedule for Week 8. There are 3 things I need you to do:
1. DUE by FRIDAY 3/13: I’d like everyone to create an extra concept connect over ONE of the readings scheduled for week 8. Please post to your website.
2. DUE by TUESDAY 3/24: Create a flyer for the Fordham community using the C.R.A.P principles, which you can read about here. Post to your website. You could make an informational flyer for students regarding best practices to reduce the spread of COVOD-19, a flyer for a club, a meeting, anything! Be sure to follow the principles in your design. Post to your website and include a description of the when, where, and how you used the C.R.A.P principles.
3. DUE by TUESDAY 3/24: This week we would have discussed “usability” and usability scales. Please read the Sam Lander reading here and take a look at the Usability Scale here. Your task is to create a usability scale for an item, or service of your choosing. Decide what the crucial component are of usability for your example, just like Lander did for handbags. Examples include: food delivery services, sneakers, backpacks, water bottles….anything you’d like! Post your scale, with pictures, to your website.
